What to look for if you suspect racoons are nesting in your ceiling:

Mystery scratches that show evidence of little fingers with big claws.

Mystery stains along mystery cracks.

Conversation with apartment manager:

Me: There's a family of raccoons moving into my ceiling... AGAIN.
A.M.: Well we'll have to set up a trap.
Me: Well, do you mean you can get into my ceiling to set a trap? Or are you just going to set up traps outside on the edge of the woods? And you'll need more than one trap because there is more than one racoon.
A.M.: Um... uh... we'll have to set up traps. So we can trap it.

For those of you who don't know Ben, you obviously need to see Death of a Cowboy

Sheesh. Films just shouldn't be made in 48 hours...

So let's take two stories from the NY Times and find the magical connection:

Disney forbids Miramax from distributing Michael Moore's documentary, Farenheit 911, which details the Bush family's relationship with the Saudi government, including the Bin Laden family.

GOP conventioneers get free tickets to 8 Broadway shows during the Republican Convention - including "The Lion King," "Beauty and the Beast", and "Aida," all of which are produced by Disney.

So Disney violates its agreements with Miramax for political reasons (they are only allowed to forbid distribution if a film is rated NC-17). Meanwhile the somber, reflective mood of the Republican Convention, which no doubt will be focused on the September 11th anniversary and the loss of American service men and women abroad, will be exposed to the diverse array of America's theatrical offerings by seeing musicals based on MOVIES! Just don't tell Tom Delay that "Lion King" songwriter Elton John is gay!

So I'm trying to update my webpage with a redesign. Hopefully, I'll eventually figure out some interactivity, so when you roll over the menu, different images pop-up in the left. I may have to get some Big Racket assistance.

This is perhaps the one instance where I would avoid a theme park called Dinosaur Adventure Land. Don't get me started on what is wrong with "Jumpasaurus". Seriously, folks. There's a reason the US will never lead the world in science and math again. I'm going to go learn Japanese...
